Watercolor in the Gardens

An Unhurried Creative Gathering at The Cottage at Jubilation Farms

Step into the garden. Slow your breath. Let your mind and body unwind.

Watercolor in the Gardens is a gentle, open-air creative experience hosted at The Cottage at Jubilation Farms—a quiet invitation to notice beauty, play with color, and create without pressure or performance.

Set among the gardens and outdoor spaces of the farm, this gathering is not a formal class, but a guided experience. You’ll be encouraged to observe light, leaves, petals, and shadows, and to translate what you see (and feel) onto paper using simple watercolor techniques.

Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or returning to it after years away, this is a space designed for rest, creativity, and presence—not perfection.

A Note on the Setting

Watercolor in the Gardens is part of the evolving vision for The Cottage at Jubilation Farms—a seasonal, creative gathering space centered on beauty, making, and meaningful connection to place.

As the farm enters a new chapter, The Cottage is becoming a home for workshops, small gatherings, and creative experiences that honor rhythm, restoration, and the handmade.

For the comfort and safety of our guests and animals, we are a non-smoking/vaping facility.

About Your Host

Sarah Nuss is an educator, artist, and writer with a lifelong love of learning, creativity, and work done by hand. She is the owner and creative force behind Jubilation Farms and The Cottage at Jubilation Farms.

Sarah created The Cottage at Jubilation Farms as an invitation to step outside the pace of everyday life. Her hope is that each gathering offers a moment of peace—time to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel grounded in the beauty of the farm.

Through art, making, and shared presence, she invites others to experience a quieter, more authentic rhythm of life, and to notice the intricate beauty woven through the natural world all around them.
