2024 Farm School

We are so excited to offer this incredible opportunity for 10 Week Sessions for learners ages 5-12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2pm!

Farmer Sarah has been dreaming of creating a course like this steeped in old-fashioned skills and bringing simpler times to life!

Students will bring sack lunches to enjoy on the farm, and a healthy snack will be provided or made by the group during the day. We cannot accommodate food allergies except for peanut allergies.

In our new extended format, students will have plenty of time outdoors, with free play, structured hands-on activities, rotating chores performed in chore groups, nature journaling, hiking in the woods, as well as living history experiences straight from quality read alouds.

Our 6-week courses still offer the great content about the farm for those interested in a shorter format. These courses will be offered Wednesdays from 3-4:30pm.

Please note that dates, times, and subject matter may change at any time. More detailed information will be emailed before the sessions. Please make sure you provide your correct email address.

Farm School is non-refundable.

Students must be prepared for outdoor time with appropriate clothing, farm boots, and cold weather gear able to withstand hours outside during the colder months.

We will study the forests and predators of north Alabama, learn about food preservation with a special focus on smoking and curing meats, learn about butchering days long ago, cheesemaking, and life during each season in the book.

We will link history, science, language arts, and hands-on study in this incredible course!

Cost: $550 for the course; $50 off per sibling

Ages: 7-12

***If registering for the Winter Course, please note that the Thursday session is filled. The same material is being taught on Tuesdays. We still have a few spots open for Tuesdays.
